The sole vision of our organization is to salvage and influence the creative culture around the world by touching the lives of individuals, families, and communities through the programs we develop and the products we create.
In 1998 LeRoix and India Hampton created S.T.A.N.D (So The Arts Never Die) to develop the talent and skill of urban youth through a variety of artistic expressions. S.T.A.N.D arose from the 1995 pilot project Power Praise, a choir of 60 Boston youth ranging in ages from 10 to 20. By 1999. Power Praise had become a highly sought-after teen motivational group that blended pop, urban contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, inspirational, and traditional gospel musical styles. These teens were featured on ABC World News, The 700 Club, traveled both nationally and globally, and were able to experience life-changing events that have shaped them to become successful individuals today.
At its core, S.T.A.N.D Foundation is comprised of three main pillars of operation: STAND TOGETHER, STAND OUT and STAND UP. Through these avenues, S.T.A.N.D provides an innovative and revolutionary approach to how the creative industry and its counterparts in business operate, scout and develop new talent.
Due to its primary focus on arts education and community development, S.T.A.N.D utilizes its resources to provide young artists with educational programming and resources to cultivate their artistic and entrepreneurial knowledge, develop and launch the careers of aspiring artists, support and give a platform to artistic ambassadors and advocates, provide musicians, artists, authors, engineers, and their families, with the resources, mentorship, and tools they need to succeed in life. Through these avenues, we’ve built a community amongst artists and are enhancing the artistic vitality of the communities in which these artists reside.
